Setting the scene:
One cannot be an effective leader without executive presence but what is executive presence? Executive presence is an intangible quality that is present in great leaders which inspires others to follow you. Like all intangible assets executive presence is difficult to define but it is easy to tell when it is present in a leader just as much as when it is absent. It is a key differentiator between effective and ineffective leaders.
Scenario:
A senior executive in a medium size organization needed to stand out as a natural successor for a CEO role. While technically sound ( technical competence) the leadership circle assessment revealed the need for this executive to develop the ability to interact effectively with all stakeholders ,especially external stakeholders and to influence others to start seeing her as a natural leader.
